Nukebox Studios Launches Blockchain Division
Nukebox Studios, a mobile gaming company behind multiple Award-Winning mobile games announced the launch of a blockchain division today to lead and develop projects in the rapidly growing play-to-earn gaming space.
Why is blockchain gaming exciting now?
Over time, our lives have become more and more digital. The pandemic accelerated this by increasing the time spent in digital activities exponentially. This increase in time spent has now translated into an increase in value for these experiences, and we are starting to draw parallels between our digital and physical lives. Games are the perfect way to deliver these digital experiences and blockchain technology is the perfect way to provide this value.
How are we going about it ?
Blockchain tech has stood the test of time for more than a decade now, but recently, there has been a tipping point of trust in it leading to its increased adoption. However, most blockchain games today focus on technology rather than the game itself. This has led to the market being flooded with poorly-designed games catered largely to crypto-enthusiasts. These games have low user bases and unstable economies. We want to focus on making high-quality games that are long-lasting. At the same time, we understand the reality of the ecosystem and are aiming to cater to all the 3 types of audiences: Players, Earners, and Investors. We want to use our decade-long experience in game development to deliver AAA-quality experiences in this new space.
This launch marks a natural evolution of our strategy that will open up exciting new opportunities for growth. We look forward to investing in new Evergreen Franchises and introducing new free-to-play-earn games while expanding our universe to capitalize on this space.
Team
The project will be spearheaded by Amit Hardi (CEO) who has 17+ years of experience in the digital space along with 10+ years of experience in mobile gaming. In late 2013 Amit took up the role as CEO of Nukebox Studios to transform the studio from a Services Business to a Production House. Karan R Gaikwad (Director of Product) will head the Product initiatives and has 7+ years of experience in mobile Product Management, having worked in the past at Zynga and Reliance Games.
